Job role The role of the Director for Government Relations, Market Access, Advocacy and Communication significantly contributes to position our company as a relevant and key actor in the Brazilian healthcare system. As a member of the Leadership team and reporting directly to local Managing Director, this role has the goal to develop, propose, drive and execute the actions that solidifies the company reputation and builds relevance to the Company in Brazil as a leading healthcare company through health policy activities. Regarding Policy, this person is expected to establish Policy priorities within the company and leverage those with relevant external platforms impacting positively and shaping the environment in relevant disease areas in Brazil. Furthermore, the role incumbent identifies important win-win approaches with relevant stakeholders in the sense of a continuous improvement of patient access and care throughout Public and Private environments. Equipped with deep insights and experience from politics, relevant Public Administration bodies, PR consultancies and business leadership the Director can provide the company with the best advice on how the company can optimize its offer of treatment options in a sustainable manner to the HC system. The Director background, network and strategic mindset will allow to perform solid analysis and present proposals for solutions in a credible and trustworthy manner. In access, one of the priority roles is to understand, evaluate and minimize possible barriers to entry and grow into the market and ensure that the priority products of the portfolio as well as the innovative products are included in the necessary Formularies for the well-being of patients both in Public and Private environments. Developing a pricing strategy and following country and company pricing policies, Pricing (external and internal) is also under the responsibility of Access area. In Communications this Director will discuss, leverage and support to achieve the objectives of the communication area and the goals and objectives of the entire company also supporting the creation of a Corporate culture aligned with global direction and leveraging our narrative, mission and values. This person will also manage communication operations, with the goal of raising awareness and reputation of the company externally; the development and execution of a communication strategy with the media to channel the strategy of the key messages. The deep understanding of compliance and ethics codes is key to achieve the goals under the full compliance way but also bring onboard new opportunities of creating our Reputation and Image. In the role as Dir. Rel Gov, MA & Comm, the main responsibilities are: Understanding that Policy, Access, Advocacy and Communications are critical tools for exploring opportunities and executing the Business Units and its products strategies to their full potential, being a cornerstone for Sales and Marketing final deliverables Have a full alignment with all BUDs understanding, challenging, proposing and executing towards the same goals and guaranteeing bottom up strategies implementation. Prepare economic messages and stories of value, as well as negotiate commercial conditions with the different health institutions for Economic Evaluations, with a focus in market access, including but not limited to:Lead CONITEC fulfillment/strategy (short term) and define medium/long term approach for existing and future productsLead the ANS process of incorporation for existing and future productsGuarantee bottom-up strategy implementations in the private market (cities, states & HMOs) Responsible for budget definition on sales, investments and strategies of the products in the non retail market Generate local data focus on Pharmacoeconomics outcomes (to private and public) Lead the local pricing strategy and alignment to global policies and platforms Responsible for Advocacy initiatives aligned with our narrative and guarantee accomplishment of grants and donations policy including Planning and executing policy-related activities such as political meetings, round table discussions, seminars and conferences Liaise with and represent our Company interests in industry associations, relevant networks and clusters, creating and maintaining good relationships with key interest groups such as patients’ organizations. Align Communication strategy to guarantee fulfillment of Business priorities and Reputation development externally from scientifics communities to lay audience Scout, create and propose initiatives related to ESG with Global External affairs area considering local needs and areas for development aligned with global directions Represent Brazil in the Global council of Policy, Access and communication Active alignment with the areas of sales, marketing, medical, regulatory affairs (Cross Functional Team) Experience & competencies required Experience in health policy, Market Access and in Communications in Brazil or in other countries with similar challenges and political environment. Not mandatory but as a differential, experience in working in a political organization, preferably in a political secretariat, Parliament, ministry, governmental body, public affairs in a consulting company, NGO’s, Local HTA, Trade association, pharmaceutical company or highly complex in Government relationship sector. Should have general understanding of legislation, government processes, and policies impacting the healthcare sectors. Strong and sound ethical platform in line with our Company’s core values Self-motivated and able to work under pressure within volatile, ambiguous and complex environments. Good prioritization skills and Demonstrated ability to establish and manage strong partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders as well as advise senior leadership and executives. Strong leadership and engaging skills through direct and matrix teamwork developing a sense of collective ownership, speediness and execution under collaboration initiatives.
