In this opportunity as Event Specialist, you will:
Manage online attendee registration database using the Certain platform; including the website build, managing changes, associated maintenance, reporting, and the Thomson Reuters Event support email inbox.
Coordinate all Finance/Accounts Payable requirements; submit all invoices, POs, credit card transactions, and record/report in Smartsheet project management tool
Tracking budget for all events and processing event invoice and expense reports in compliance with company policies.
Mobile Event App (Spot Me and/or Certain Touchpoint); database management of the project plan and populate content for the mobile event app.
Education/Training Session management for SYNERGY Conferences, and database management.
Ability to plan and execute events with responsibility for end-to-end delivery and execution with (at times) little to no supervision.
Ensure creative execution of meetings/events as directed by the event/program management committees. Establish the appropriate tools and processes to meet project goals. Influence event/program stakeholders to make the appropriate decisions and modifications in response to external influences on the event/program.
Researching event venues and costs for proposed events, researching branding items and gifts for guests.
Creation of event project plans and run of events for all associated events. Comfortable using technology tools, such as event registration software, internal websites, and social media to allow for better team documentation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
Participate in or conduct event debriefs following each event and ensure written feedback is documented back to the teams and participants to improve future events.
Perform other assignments as requested by manager.
