The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing the general HR functions and driving positive employee relations within the production facility, in order to comply with local/national regulations, ensure adherence to corporate HR guidelines/policy, and ultimately meet the objectives of the business unit. This includes assisting the Regional Human Resources Manager with employee relations at the distribution center.
Responsabilities:
Manage the HR function to support plant staffing initiatives and employee relations objectives.
Manage the employment process for the recruitment of professional, administrative, sales, technical, manufacturing, secretarial and clerical jobs.
Develop and maintain college recruitment and diversity employment programs.
Counsel and advise associates on career opportunities, job placement, career planning, and related issues.
Manage employee relations and provide HR guidance/input to supervisory/management team with regards to disciplinary actions (up to and including termination of employment).
Develop and monitor safety and health programs; monitor Social Security System for plant.
Provide direction to safety committee by establishing objectives and maintain monthly meetings to carry out those objectives; ensure plant compliance with environmental and labor safety regulations are verified, reported and sustained.
Communicate policies, procedures and practices relating to employment and/or employee relations.
Participate in and coordinate internal training programs in adherence with ZF corporate standards, programs and policies; respond to government inquiries and audits for the plant location.
Participate in planning budgetary and recruiting requirements; monitor budget expenditures.
Assign, check work, enforce company rules, review performance, initiate Changes-In-Status, train, develop and motivate employees, champion individual and team efforts and aid in the development of staff and professionals to achieve individual leadership and company goals and objectives.
The HR Manager is the representative of the Top Management that has the assignment to ensure that the ISO-14001 (Environmental Management System) is established, implemented and maintained.
The HR Manager is the representative of the Top Management that has the assignment to ensure that the SACS (Management System of Duty and Control) is established, implemented and maintained.
The HR Manager is the representative of the Top Management that has the assignment to ensure that the ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) is established, implemented and maintained.
It is responsible for reporting to the Top Management the status of the SACS/C-TPAT, ISO 45001 and ISO-14001 for its revision and improvement.
Monitor the administration of the employee mandatory random drug testing policy (CTPAT).
Lead continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
Responsible of the payroll process.
Know the environmental aspects and impacts related to their work, as well as the contribution in compliance obligation, the effectiveness of the environmental management system and the implications for the environment in case of non-compliance.
Know and comply with the legal requirements, environmental aspects and impacts, hazard and risks derived from the EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) management systems.
Requirements:
B.S. Degree. HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
6+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR professional serving multiple HR functions
2+ years of managing/directing others and/or large HR projects in addition to delegating/tracking independent work assignments and HR-related programs
Experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in the automotive and/or electronics industry
English 100%
Familiar with Mexican employment law and related regulations
Familiar with plant HR principles and best practices
Proficient in Microsoft® Office and SAP
Knowledge of U.S. employment law
